J.S. Bach – Brandenburg Concerto No. 5
Telemann – Quartet for flute, strings, and harpsichord
Kuhlau – Quintet for flute and strings

Johann Sebastian Bach's ebullient Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 enchants us, particularly in a season of joy and generosity. This performance features Seattle Symphony violinist Stephen Bryant, Seattle Symphony cellist Roberta Downey, Pacific Northwest Ballet violinist Sue Jane Bryant, and harpsichordist Jonathan Oddie along with violist Roxanna Patterson and flutist Jeffrey Cohan. Also, an exquisite Quartet by Georg Philipp Telemann for flute, strings and harpsichord in celebration of the final weeks of the composer's 250th anniversary year, and a brilliant Quintet for flute and strings by Friedrich Kuhlau.

The eighth annual Candlelight Concerts in memory of George Shangrow continues a tradition which George initiated with candlelight evenings of chamber music and holiday favorites over many decades. Chamber music both familiar and new is performed by some of the Northwest's prominent soloists.
