Mahler – Symphony No. 2 "Resurrection"
Music at St. James Cathedral welcomes internationally acclaimed English organist David Briggs, playing his own transcription of Mahler’s "Resurrection" Symphony. This transcendent work, which begins with a funeral march and ends with the soaring assurance that we will rise again, traces the path from death to resurrection. Revel in the sound of the superb great organ of St. James (comprised of the Hutchings-Votey and Rosales instruments, both playable from the same console), five accomplished choirs, and soprano and mezzo-soprano soloists.
