Resonance Masters’ Series invites music-lovers of the Seattle area to witness the Pacific Northwest premiere performance of the Annunciation piano quintet by Philip Glass. The work, written in 2018 and inspired by Greek Orthodox communion hymns, has received rave reviews in New York, Connecticut, and Nebraska, and will be performed by the composer’s longtime collaborator Paul Barnes, pianist, and the Seattle-based ensemble Skyros Quartet.
Barnes will offer a piano masterclass to local young musicians the previous evening, May 10th, 2019. Guests may purchase tickets to the master class alone for $5 or purchase concert tickets for $30 and attend the masterclass at no additional charge. Students can purchase a ticket to the master class and the concert for $15.
