The Emerson String Quartet has maintained its status as one of the world’s premier chamber music ensembles for more than four decades. Their performances combine “an extraordinary fusion of experience and authority with audacity and freshness” (The Boston Globe). In over four decades, The Emerson has accumulated an impressive list of achievements: more than 30 notable recordings, nine Grammys, three Gramophone Awards, the Avery Fisher Prize and Musical America’s “Ensemble of the Year.” These long-time friends of Meany present an online performance video from the Boston Celebrity Series, recorded at Drew University Concert Hall in Madison, NJ.
