Formed by brothers Eric and Colin Jacobsen, who also founded the groundbreaking Brooklyn Rider String Quartet, The Knights has quickly established itself as an "adventurous young orchestra with a strong reputation for polished performances and imaginative programming" (The New York Times), and hailed by critics as "the future of classical music in America!" (Los Angeles Times).

This intriguing program centers around Beethoven's "Kreutzer Sonata", a musical masterpiece that inspired Leoš Janáček's work of the same name. The Knights will perform both in stunning new arrangements for orchestra, along with contemporary pieces.

The concert will also feature the world-premiere of Candlelight's latest commission: Afterglow, by Viet Cuong. This never-before-experienced work attempts to express the contemplative yet hopeful landscape of a sunrise.

Don’t miss this special opening of Candlelight's 50th Anniversary Season. After the show, please join the artists and fellow concertgoers for a FREE chocolate and champagne toast!
