About Teresa Caballero Jaime, flute
Teresa Caballero, a native of Monterrey, Mexico, began her musical studies at age 11. After graduating with honors in music from Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (UANL) in Mexico in 2005, she became second flute with the UANL chamber orchestra and principal flutist with the Nuevo Leon symphony youth orchestra. In addition to her achievements as a performer, she received, for her contributions to music education, a first-prize award in the highly regarded CONARTE (Mexico´s National Council for Culture and the Arts) competition for authoring a series of innovative, instructional concerts for children. Teresa currently teaches private flute lessons in Seattle and teaches preschoolers skills and social/emotional development through music.
