Two autistic nonspeakers, Melody and Luke, fall in love via email, only to struggle with sensory realities when they meet in person. Love Letters is a universal story of first love—found and lost—and of expectations not matching reality. Possibly the first professionally-produced play written by an autistic nonspeaker (award-winning Seattle poet Sofia Ghassaei), this new musical features original songs (preview one of them at https://youtu.be/OJcxpbsD-rs), musical direction by Ian Williams, direction by Lauren Goldman Marshall and choreography by Anna Karpukhina.

Love Letters runs June 15-18 at The Auditorium at University Heights Center.

Talkback with the artistic team following the June 18 performance.
