This titan of string ensembles is back to astound Kennedy Center audiences once again. Entering its 49th season, Takács Quartet infuses deep richness and fresh insight into each performance, cultivating a "warmth to their sound" (The Washington Post) that makes every concert a treasure. The ensemble will present Haydn’s virtuosic "Sunrise," one of Bartók's transcendent quartets—a return to the Takács' Hungarian roots—and Schubert's mysterious final string quartet.
