TOC Lunchtime Concert: The Tabor Trio

The Tabor Trio is a Portland-based classical music ensemble comprising of Theresa Marks (clarinet), Deborah Shuster (viola), and Gayle Armstrong (piano). They will be performing the music of Schumann, Juon, and Bruch.
About Deborah Shuster, viola
Deborah Shuster studied at the Peabody Conservatory as an undergraduate and received her M.Mus. degree from The University of Colorado. She was a founding member of the Vento e Cordi Quartet in New York, and has played with the New York Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony, the Spokane Symphony, the Windsor Symphony, Teatro Lirico e Sperimentale in Spoleto, Italy and the Michigan Opera Theater. She currently plays viola and cello in chamber ensembles in Portland and the San Francisco Bay Area.
About Gayle Armstrong, piano
Gayle Armstrong is a classical pianist and teacher in the Portland local area. She currently plays with the Tabor Trio and has worked as accompanist with the Vocal Performing Arts program in Sherwood, OR. After receiving a M.M. in Piano Performance from Claremont Graduate University and a M.A. in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Oregon, she has taught piano students at the Portland Conservatory of Music, Eliason School of Music, and Tualatin Valley Academy. Her students have successfully participated in the OMTA's Syllabus Program and local classical music festivals. She enjoys teaching a wide variety of styles and ages and believes every student can benefit from a positive musical experience.
