Christ & St. Stephen's Episcopal Church presents "Mercy, Pity, Peace and Love," a program of music for horn, piano, and voice by Britten and Vaughan Williams, written during wartime to promote peace. Featuring Brad Gemeinhardt (Principal Horn of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra), pianist John Cuk (conductor of the Danbury Concert Chorus), and tenor Gregory Lorenz.
The proceeds of this event will go to the Episcopal Relief and Development Disaster Response Fund to support their work in the Middle East, Ukraine, and other communities when they are devastated by crises. Episcopal Relief & Development partners with faith and community leaders around the world to advance lasting change in communities impacted by injustice, poverty, disaster and climate change. They focus on four interconnected priorities: early childhood development, women and girls, climate resilience and disaster response. Learn more at episcopalrelief.org
