Lakewold Gardens is pleased to present "Sounds of the Homelands," its 2024 Music from Home season. Each concert program features the music of a particular cultural terroir, brought to life in the garden by renowned performers and guest musicologists for selected performances.
In the second concert of the American Focus subset of concert of our series, two internationally recognized musician—baritone José Rubio and pianist Abdiel Vázquez—will perform a beutiful array of pieces by American and Latin American composers including Ponce, Ginastera, Ives, and Copland.
Award-winning musicoligst Carol A. Hess has written program notes as an introduction to the topic specifically for this concert.
