NOCCO Open Rehearsal: George Walker & Hanna Benn

Please join us as NOCCO rehearses a new work by Hanna Benn, with additional text by Davida Ingram. Her piece is part of RESONANCE – A Celebration of Black American Composers. We will also be rehearsing Pulitzer Prize winner George Walker's (b. 1922) Orpheus for Chamber Orchestra and Narrator. We invite you and your students to observe as we put these pieces together, NOCCO-style, which is long on collaboration, short on authoritarianism. We find it an energizing antidote to top-down hierarchical approaches.
