Ludwig van Beethoven – String Quartet in B-flat major, Op. 130 with Grosse Fuge, Op. 133

In this first of two concerts, the preeminent Emerson String Quartet performs the repertoire on which they have built their reputation: Beethoven. They play the composer’s epic, forward-looking Op. 130 Quartet with its groundbreaking original ending, the Grosse Fuge. Stravinsky called the Grosse Fuge “an absolutely contemporary piece of music that will be contemporary forever.” Hear the Emerson Quartet thrillingly underscore that truth.

The broadcast will begin at 4:30pm Pacific / 7:30pm Eastern.

The concert stream will be available to ticket buyers for one full week from the time of broadcast. View it live, or at your convenience!
