On October 18, Bang on a Can re-ignites with 6 hours of nonconformist, noncommercial, boundary-smashing music. The Marathon kicks off at 3pm with a special birthday tribute to master composer George Crumb (91 years young!) and closes with a solo sonic adventure featuring guitarist-composer Bill Frisell. Don’t miss 9 world premieres commissioned especially for the day, a rare solo appearance by David Longstreth (of Dirty Projectors), plus music and performances by Hauschka, Nathalie Joachim, Tania León, William Parker, Nels Cline and Yuka C. Honda, Du Yun, and many more greats.
The livestream will take place at 3pm Eastern / 12pm Pacific.
