The Houston-based professional ensemble ROCO is excited to offer free weekly livestream rebroadcasts of our past In Concert performances, featuring the full 40-piece chamber orchestra. Each broadcast will take place at 12pm (Pacific), and can be found on both our website and Facebook page, where our guest artists join us each week for chat and Q&A.

ROCO's 15th season kicked off with "Time For Hope" – a concert built around a world premiere by Lisa Bielawa, Centuries in the Hours (co-commissioned by ROCO and The ASCAP Foundation Charles Kingsford Fund) - featuring mezzo-soprano Laurie Rubin, who gives voice to the writings of five women whose circumstances rendered them invisible to history

Led by ROCO Artistic Partner Mei-Ann Chen, the program also included Franz Joseph Haydn's Symphony No. 104 "London" (enhanced with LiveNote musician commentary via ROCO's mobile app), Alejandro Basulto's Triptico de Luz, Judith Shatin's Ice Becomes Water (accompanied by photography from Houston artist Libbie Masterson), and the first commissioned works of ROCO's FIFteen Project by composers Desmond Ikegwuonu, Osnat Netzer, and Mark Buller, the project's curator.

Recorded live Sept. 28, 2019, at The Church of St. John the Divine, Houston, TX, with videography by Blueprint Film Co.

The broadcast will take place at 2pm Central / 12pm Pacific.
