Kevin Siegfried – Music of the Spheres
Johann Sebastian Bach – Komm, Jesu, Komm, BWV 229

Choral Arts Northwest's season begins with a journey through heavenly mysteries inspired by the writings of Johannes Kepler with Kevin Siegfried's Music of the Spheres, alongside choral masterworks such Johann Sebastian Bach’s motet for double chorus Komm, Jesu, Komm, BWV 229 and rarely heard works by Morten Lauridsen and Joan Szymko. Join CANW as they embark on their 27th season in a one-night-only offering of transcendent and inspired choral fireworks.

Made up of volunteer singers drawn almost exclusively from the Puget Sound region, CANW combines a deep sense of community with a passion for artistic excellence. While performing diverse repertoire from Renaissance polyphony through 20th century masterworks, CANW retains an abiding commitment to new music and has commissioned and premiered new choral compositions annually since 2007. Their Composer-In-Residence and Finding Your Voice programs have produced important collaborations with composers such as Shawn Kirchner, John Muehleisen, Eric Barnum, Jake Runestad, Melinda Bargreen, Dale Trumbore, Jessica French, and John David Earnest.
