Choral Arts Northwest's mid-season concert offers unparalleled musical drama, combining dynamic CANW voices with orchestral strings and heralded soloist Hannah Consenz. Audience favorite Antonio Lotti's Crucifixus a 8 begins the evening, setting the stage for two unmatched choral masterworks to follow: Johann Sebastian Bach's sublime Easter cantata Christ lag in Todesbanden and Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds’s powerful Passion and Resurrection. Under the expert guidance of CANW artistic director, Robert Bode, this evening promises to be a bold and brilliant exposition of humankind’s most eternal concerns – love, loss, recovery and renewal.
