Hildur Guðnadóttir – From the Other Place
Bernard Herrmann – Suite from Psycho
John Williams – Air and Simple Gifts
Antonín Dvořák – Serenade for strings in E major, Op. 22

For "Soundwaves V", Eugene Symphony Conductor Francesco Lecce-Chong is especially excited to feature famous film score composers including Hildur Guðnadóttir, who won the Academy Award for her score to 2019’s Joker; Bernard Herrmann, known for his Hitchcock film scores; and John Williams, the legend behind the music of fan-favorites like Star Wars and Indiana Jones. To cap it all off, you'll hear Antonín Dvořák’s Serenade for strings, a tour de force for the musicians across its five movements.

The premiere takes place on Thursday, May 6 at 7pm Pacific. Watch the broadcast here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXiIDACyrIDbLcljCfUdSvw
