First Friday Salons: More than quartets with Skyros & friends

The inventive, Seattle-based Skyros Quartet joins other talented local musicians to present string chamber works composed for ensembles larger than the quartet. Join them for a performance of seldom-performed works, including the famed Mendelssohn String Octet in E-flat. Written when he was just 16 years old and rivaled only by Mozart, this work is said to best portray Mendelssohn’s “raw talent” and musical genius.
