Island Consort presents an all-American music program including Gershwin's Lullaby for Strings, Copland's Quiet City, Ives Children's Day at Camp violin/piano sonata, a piano trio by Alan Hovhaness, four songs – settings of Walt Whitman poems – by Spencer Arias, and an exploration of the American Choral tradition, including works by Copland, Ives, Billings, & Bernstein (selections from Candide!).
