Mark Hilliard Wilson will perform a program spanning the Baroque, Romantic and modern eras, including: the premiere of a fresh transcription of Sylvius Leopold Weiss's First Suonate (Baroque lute to classical guitar) from the London Manuscript; Standchen by Frank Schubert; La Cathedral by Agustin Barrios Mangore; Midnight in Buenos Aires, tangos by Astor Piazzolla.

Ample street parking is available. Metro #5 or #44. Our house is high off the street and it's thirty steps to the front door. Attendees will be asked to make a donation (minimum $10) all of which goes to the musicians. Please bring any drinks and snacks you'd like to share.

Note: Please do not arrive early unless you have a special need and have communicated with the host. Both hosts and musicians require preparation and set up time. The start time (7:30) means that is the time you should arrive, and you can expect the program will start slightly later. Thanks for your consideration.

About Mark Hilliard Wilson

Mark Hilliard Wilson is an active performer, teacher, and director of the Seattle Guitar Orchestra, which he founded in 1999. Wilson has written or arranged more than 200 works, and avidly explores new venues for the performance of classical music while addressing contemporary issues through concert programming. Music has always been everything to Wilson, from the barrel organs he heard in his childhood in Holland to the symphony orchestras in Washington, DC and country bands in Weiser, Idaho. He continues to study and embrace the wonder of new places and the creativity of the wonderful artists of every stripe in the world.
