Groupmuse: Liz Frazer & Steven Luksan 'Crush the Patriarchy'

Soprano Liz Frazer and composer Steven Luksan present a recital of songs about Eve and Ophelia, including original compositions by Mr. Luksan using poetry on this theme.

Liz Frazer completed her Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2012, and recently relocated to Seattle. She is an active teacher, performer, and choir director, and enjoys performing in a variety of styles, including opera, chamber music, and art song.

Steven Luksan is a composer and pianist based in Seattle. Steven is an advocate for the performance of new and uncommon compositions (especially those by Scandinavian and American composers), and for the performance of chamber music in intimate settings. Steven's compositions are influenced by folk traditions, jazz, minimalism, and the music of his favorite composers from the early 20th century.

A Note from the Host
Ample street parking is available. Metro #5 or #44. Our house is high off the street and it's thirty steps to the front door. Attendees will be asked to make a donation (minimum $10) all of which goes to the musicians. Please bring any drinks and snacks you'd like to share.

Note: Please do not arrive early unless you have a special need and have communicated with me. Both hosts and musicians require preparation and set up time. The start time (7:30) means that is the time you should arrive, and you can expect the program will start slightly later. Thanks for your consideration.
