Björk — Selected works

Special guests: Andrew Joselyn and the Passenger String Quartet

The Stranger Genius Award-winning jazz collective Industrial Revelation was founded over a decade ago on one core principle: to authentically honor and innovate within the traditions of black improvised music without ignoring the vast range of popular music that shaped their youth. One artist who has always inspired all four members of Industrial Revelation is the Icelandic singer and composer Bjork, whose groundbreaking third album, Homogenic, turns 20 years old in 2017. The haunting melodies and hypnotic beats of this musical masterwork exemplify the balance of artistry, experimentation, and accessibility that has long been Industrial Revelation's deepest artistic mission. Join us for a one-time-only event as this Seattle-born supergroup pays tribute to one of its greatest influences, featuring special guests and a few surprises. Industrial Revelation will perform Bjork's Homogenic in its entirety at the historic Neptune Theatre, a sublime spectacle that's not to be missed.
