The Church’s journey has continually been expressed through music, reflecting the current time and looking to the future. All leave their mark as the Church expresses this truth: Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever. This unique program will celebrate the rich treasury of music expressing the journey of the Church, beginning with Psalm 136 by Heinrich Schütz, commissioned for the 100th anniversary of the Reformation. Featured hymns include the lovely Korean tune "Come now, O Prince of Peace" and "Of the Father's Love Begotten."

The National Lutheran Choir, under the direction of Dr. David Cherwien, will be touring the Pacific Northwest presenting two unique programs in recognition of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. The 64-voice choir, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, seeks to strengthen, renew, and preserve the heritage of sacred choral music through the highest standards of performance and literature.
