Houston Symphony’s Living Room Series happens each Friday evening. Ticket buyers receive a private link to view livestream recitals by Houston Symphony musicians and, in some cases, musician members of their household. Performances conclude with Q&A from audience members.

On May 22, Joan DerHovsepian, associate principal viola, is joined by her husband, Erik Gronfor, a double bassist with the Houston Grand Opera Orchestra, and their daughter Clara, a violinist.

Before the concert: Join us 30 minutes early for a live Prelude discussion with Musical Ambassador Carlos Andrés Botero! A representative from Houston Public Library will join the discussion, sharing Joan DerHovsepian’s reading list for books to keep the family entertained during social distancing, along with information on how you can access Library offerings from your home.

The livestream will take place at 8pm Central / 6pm Pacific. Broadcasting live from Houston, TX.

On the day of the concert, ticker buyers will receive a new email with a link to the video. We recommend you access the link at least 10 minutes before the concert begins. If you buy tickets on Friday afternoon, the link will be in your purchase confirmation email. The email will also have the Zoom link and password for viewing the pre-concert Prelude.
