Celebrated pianist and genre-busting new music champion Anthony de Mare pays tribute to the musical genius of Stephen Sondheim with the Liaisons2020 project: ten new commissions of Sondheim songs, re-imagined for piano by some of today’s leading composers in jazz, film, theater, and classical music. Building on his acclaimed Liaisons project, a remarkable compendium that featured 36 new works re-imagined by the likes of Steve Reich, Nico Muhly, Fred Hersch, William Bolcom, Wynton Marsalis, and Jason Robert Brown, the world premieres of Liaisons2020 were penned to honor the Maestro’s 90th birthday. This concert will feature works from both collections.

The livestream will take place at 3pm Eastern / 12pm Pacific.
