On Saturday, August 9, 2020 at 10am Pacific, Sarah Cahill, described as “a sterling pianist and an intrepid illuminator of the classical avant-garde” by The New York Times, will give a livestreamed performance from Harrison House, composer Lou Harrison’s desert retreat in Joshua Tree, where she is currently in residence.

Cahill’s program intentionally features compositions written with upright pianos in mind, and includes music by Lou Harrison,
Mamoru Fujieda, and the remarkable 96-year-old Ethiopian nun Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou.

The livestream will take place at 10am Pacific. Broadcasting live from the Lou Harrison House in Joshua Tree, CA.
