Spread the word, and help us keep live, local music alive during these times!

Beth Fleenor seems to deny any one category, drawer or tag when asked what kind of artist she is. A self-described sensory clarinetist, Fleenor is interested in the discipline of being, with the resolved belief that sound can change the state of anything. In conjunction with her clarinet and voice, she uses electronics to create her own sonic soundscapes, generating extensions of herself through electronic frequencies, textures, and her own aural environment.

Leanna Keith is a flutist and composer based in Seattle. Inspired by the emotional impact her work can have on audiences, Keith is interested in connecting to people and herself through her music. In this way, Keith also views her music as a vehicle for making positive change; one of her impending projects focuses on the issues of gun violence, another explores the challenges of being mixed-race in America. With the aid of electronic mediation, Keith will be transmitting her emotions through not only her flute, but also through loopers and electric circuits, making for an exciting solo set of emotive and electric sound.

Briggan Krauss has been an internationally recognized saxophonist and improviser/composer based in New York for more than twenty-five years. He connects the extreme edges of technique with the unexplored tonal possibilities of the instrument while also being dedicated to exploring the practice of improvisation as a foundation for composition and artistic creation. Briggan has released several critically acclaimed recordings as a leader and has appeared on over fifty others as a sideman, including Grammy Award winning and nominated contemporary jazz records. Besides his work as a saxophonist – he is also a guitarist and works in the areas of sound art, electronic music, and interdisciplinary performance. He is currently a professor in the Performance and Interactive Media Arts [PIMA] MFA program at Brooklyn College.

A 2016 Doris Duke Performing Artist Award, composer and pianist, Wayne Horvitz’s work ranges from the recent premiere of a concerto for the Seattle Symphony featuring guitarist Bill Frisell, to his long association with a myriad of artists including Butch Morris, Gus Van Sant, John Zorn, Robin Holcomb, Reggie Watts, etc.
