The Danish String Quartet mesmerizes audiences with its impeccable intonation, integrated sound, and infectious energy. These modern-day chamber music Vikings are acclaimed as one of the “best quartets before the public today” (The Washington Post). For their Meany Center performance, the quartet presents music from its Prism series, with the Grammy-nominated Prism I that includes the first of Ludwig van Beethoven’s late string quartets, a fugue by Johann Sebastian Bach, and Dmitri Shostakovich’s final string quartet.
"What they do know is how to be an exceptional quartet, whatever repertoire they play." – The New York Times
