Haydn – Seven Last Words of Christ
Join us for the traditional service of Tre Ore (“Three Hours”) in which we remember the last words of Christ proclaimed from the cross. Between each of these brief passages of scripture, Sister Laurie Brink, OP explores themes of grace and faith. The Regency String Quartet, composed of Pacific Lutheran University faculty members, plays The Seven Last Words of Christ by Franz Joseph Haydn, a devout Catholic who composed the work for a Good Friday Tre Ore service in 1783.
This liturgy is open to all; a freewill offering is accepted.
