Bridget Kibbey, a harpist of “blazing power and finesse” (The New York Times) joins João Luiz, a leading guitarist of his generation and member of the acclaimed Brasil Guitar Duo, for an exploration of pathways in Latin American, Afro-Cuban, and Afro-Brazilian music. Short readings of Latin American poetry connect the works on the program, which brings together European, indigenous folk, and contemporary musical influences. Don’t miss this musico-poetic journey.
