The Vancouver Fiddle Philharmonic plays fiddle tunes from around the world at the Northwest Folklife Festival.
The Vancouver Fiddle Philharmonic is made of the orchestra students of Skyview, Columbia River, and Fort Vancouver High Schools in Vancouver, Washington. Their teachers are Sarah O'mara, Dave Keckes-Chartrey, and Kristina Johnson respectively. Traditions include music from the libraries of Jay Ungar and Molly Mason, Bonnie Rideout, Darol Anger, as well as some tradition folk and fiddle tunes, and original works from a variety of composers including Mr. Keckes-Chartrey.
