Kaia Selden, violin

Franz von Suppé – Overture to Die schöne Galathée ("The Beautiful Galatea")
Jonathan Leshnoff – Starburst
Antonio Vivaldi – Concerto No. 4 in F minor, Op. 8, RV 297 "Winter"
Antonín Dvořák– Symphony No. 9 in E minor, “From the New World,” Op. 95, B. 178

Dvorak’s beloved "New World Symphony" is the centerpiece of this “Seeing is Believing” concert, and this household favorite will be enhanced on the big screen above the Orchestra in a “pictorial choreography” by Adrian Wyard – an amazing sequence of pictures and video from all corners of the USA. Violin phenom Kaia Selden will dazzle you with “Winter” from Vivaldi’s popular The Four Seasons, and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing, the OSO will perform Starburst, by the meteoric Jonathan Leshnoff.

Tickets: $6-$60 ($6-$54 military/student)
