Roman Rabinovich, piano

Franz Joseph Haydn – Piano Sonata in E-flat major, Hob. XVI:52
Roman Rabinovich – Sonatina (US premiere)
Claude Debussy – Estampes
Ludwig van Beethoven – Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor, Op. 57 "Appassionata"

Winner of the 2008 Rubinstein International Piano Competition, Uzbek-born pianist Roman Rabinovich is acclaimed for compelling, dynamic, highly sensitive playing. Dubbed “a true polymath, in the Renaissance sense of the word” (Seen & Heard International), he makes his PCMS recital debut with a program that culminates in Beethoven’s 23rd sonata, the "Appassionata", a work considered by many to be Beethoven’s most emotional and most violent musical utterance.

The livestream will take place at 6pm Eastern / 3pm Pacific.
