Eine Kleine NICHTmusik
Concerto for the Simply Grand Piano – new commission
Liebeslieder Polkas
Oratorio: “The Seasonings” (S. 1 1/2 tsp.)

Philharmonia Northwest is honored to present the West Coast premiere of Peter Schickele’s latest discovery, PDQ Bach’s Concerto for Simply Grand Piano and Orchestra, with the noted piano virtuoso Jeffrey Biegel as soloist. The amazing range of PDQ Bach’s talents is celebrated in this festive concert with other humorous works – the tasteful oratorio, The Seasonings, S. 1-½ tsp, the heart-wrenching Liebeslieder Polkas, and the beloved Eine Kleine NICHTmusik.

–> This performance is an LMP Critic’s Pick: “There’s no one like P.D.Q. Bach (aka Peter Schickele) for the latest in Bach creations. Philharmonia Northwest has a commissioned one for us: ‘Concerto for Simply Grand Piano and Orchestra.’ Julia Tai conducts it at Benaroya Hall. Prepare to enjoy yourself mightily.” ~ Philippa Kiraly

(Critic’s Picks are selected for the LMP by Seattle music critics Philippa Kiraly and Thomas May.)

Tickets: $30 general, $20 students/seniors
