Seattle Symphony musicians bring the works of three Seattle-based composers to life. Pulitzer Prize and Grammy Award-winning composer William Bolcom's Afternoon Cakewalk harks back to an earlier time with a series of lively and amusing rags. Jérémy Jolley's (contro-)clessidra ((reverse-)hourglass) explores the relationships between individuals and the community through the timbres of different instrumental and electronic duets. The performance concludes with Angelique Poteat's flowing and oscillating work for two clarinets, Ripples of Possibilities.
Performed by Seattle Symphony musicians.
