Ólafur Arnalds and his team of fellow craftsmen and musicians are back in the lab, working on the All Strings Attached tour, which will feature past, present, and brand new material from his forthcoming album.
The idea for All Strings Attached was born out of our forgotten, yet inherent interconnectedness; the unity of all things and the interdependent nature of us humans.
The tour, featuring Ólafur and a uniquely wired ensemble of a string quintet, drums, two Disclaviers, and other artists and technological elements to be announced, seeks to act as a mirror for a society which celebrates the fleeting and ephemeral, while shunning the enduring and avoiding true connections. It is an invitation to commit – to oneself, to each other, and to the moment, as the Zeitgeist notion of “no strings attached…” gives way to the spirit of All Strings Attached.
