The Daphnes, a trio lead by versatile Seattle harpist Monica Schley, play mesmerizing compositions infused with classical, Celtic, and jazz origins. Schley’s music has been described as being "rich” and her "playing is intricate and determined" (Jon Rooney, Ball of Wax Quarterly). This unconventional group draws sounds from neo-folkster M. Ward, 90’s alternative bands Mazzy Star and Cowboy Junkies, and jazz musicians Pharaoh Sanders and Alice Coltrane.
