Hilary Tann – The Gardens of Anna Maria Luisa de Medici

George Crumb – Vox Balaenae ("The Voice of the Whale")
Zhou Tian – Viaje ("Voyage")

The Sustain Music Project is proud to present Music & Light, a concert event that is sure to change the way we think about a classical music performance.

Mystical and otherworldly sounds abound in George Crumb’s The Voice of the Whale, the inspiration for this unique concert. To transport the audience deep under the sea, masked musicians will perform the piece under blue light. In fact, each piece in the evening’s varied program of chamber music for flute, cello, and piano will be paired with stunning displays of color and light designed to heighten the emotional depths of the music. Adding to the experience will be unusual musical techniques that test the limits of what these instruments—and musicians!—can do.

Get ready to embrace classical music like you’ve never heard or seen before!

This performance includes lighting and other visual effects.

Tickets: $25 online, $30 at the door. Sales tax applies for online purchases.
