Andrew Jennings, violin

Renowned violinist Andrew Jennings has achieved international acclaim as both a performer and a teacher. As a soloist and chamber musician he has appeared in virtually every state and province in the U.S. and Canada as well as most of the major cities of Europe. His recordings have twice received Grammy recognition and his television appearances both here and abroad have received numerous awards, including an Emmy.

Jennings’ extensive teaching credentials include an artist-in-residence appointment at Dartmouth College and 25 years as professor at the Oberlin College Conservatory. He currently is professor of violin and chamber music at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and on the artist faculty of the Boston Symphony’s Tanglewood Music Center in Massachusetts. His students have won important international competitions and he continually maintains an active performance schedule.
