Songs that Change the World will convey a powerful message, through gorgeous and upbeat choral works, about the power of song to resist oppression, to move people to action, to condemn social injustice and to inspire hope for change.

Songs have helped shape and encapsulate historical moments from the Suffragettes battle song for the right to vote to South African protest songs against the imprisonment of Nelson Mandela... from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young’s anti-war songs against the Vietnam conflict to Estonia’s revolutionary anthem to end decades of Soviet occupation.

You’ll hear some of the most definitive and popular songs that influenced events and helped change the course of history throughout the world. With all the turmoil on our earth today, we singers walk a path of hope toward a more just and peaceful world.

Directed by Frederick N. West.

“One good song with a message can bring a point more deeply to more people than a thousand rallies.” ~ Folk singer Phil Ochs

Donations of twin-size blankets and sleeping bags (machine washable) will be accepted at the concert and distributed to area emergency shelters.

Tickets: $20 advance; $25 at the door; $18 students, seniors, special needs.
