Brahms – Ein Deutsches Requiem

“Ein Deutsches Requiem" by Johannes Brahms is his largest and most beautiful choral work. Composed between 1865 and 1868, it comprises seven movements and includes solo passages for soprano and baritone. The work is sacred, but non-liturgical, and unlike a long tradition of Latin Requiems, this piece is a Requiem in the German language.
