Inverted Space celebrates the music of Bruno Maderna with the U.S. Premiere of his opera Don Perlimplin at the University of Washington with a 4 day festival of Maderna’s music and musical influences. A collaboration of the University of Washington, Inverted Space, Table and Chairs and Jack Straw Cultural Center, come hear music of Maderna, Berio and more.
Tonight, Inverted Space members Daria Binkowski, Kevin Baldwin, Luke Fitzpatrick and Josh Archibald-Seiffer perform Maderna’s small-scale works for solo violin, flute and piano and his improvisation piece Serenata per un Satellite, in addition to works of Maderna’s close friend and countryman, Luciano Berio.
