Michel Richard de Lalande — Selected works

Come away on a rendezvous with some of the most evocative music of the French Baroque in this program of works for instruments and soprano from the time of Louix XIV. Plaintive laments, tales of love and loss in the countryside, plangent instrumental dances and a mythological cantata weave a tale that speaks to us from across the centuries. sound|counterpoint is pleased to welcome to the team soprano Linda Tsatsanis, described by the New York Times as "ravishing", and cellist Nathan Whittaker, praised for his "vitality and tonal allure" (Herald Times). You won't want to miss this concert, which features works of Lully, Lambert, Campra, Lalande and others.

Presented by Salmon Run Concerts.
