Philharmonia Northwest celebrates its 40th Anniversary in this gala concert, joined by the Kirkland Choral Society. Our past conductors Frances Walton and Roupen Shakarian lead the joyous Swedish folk-based Midommarvaka, the uplifting Exsultate Jubilate, and the noble Verleih uns Frieden, (Grant us Peace). Julia Tai conducts Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, ending with the magnificent “Ode to Joy,” capping the festivities in grand style!
