Agave Baroque performs sacred music by the Italian nun composer Isabella Leonarda (1620-1704), including the only sonata for solo violin and basso continuo published by a female composer in the 17th century. A powerful visual media presentation will accompany the music, blending English supertitles, historical and personal information about the composer, and stunning period artwork.
