Please join Cello X as we perform on the Main Stage of the Triple Door! Cello X is a cello ensemble that specializes in original rock, pop and soundtrack covers. Our set will include songs by Alice in Chains, U2, Coldplay and more.
Admission: $12 advance / $15 day of show. Doors open & dinner service begins at 6:00pm. All ages.
About Cello X
Seattle Cello eXperiment, aka "Cello X," was founded in 2010 by local cellist Peter Williams. A prodigiously talented and skilled youth ensemble, its members are classically trained. A crossover ensemble that is as comfortable and adept at performing Bach as it is performing Alice in Chains and Metallica, Cello X specializes in original and unique arrangements of today's most popular music.
Cello X has performed at EMP's Sky Church and NW Folklife Festival, and received a grant and recorded at Jack Straw Studios in Seattle, WA. They have also performed at the Fremont Abbey, been featured by KING FM's Second Inversion, and performed with the legendary Sheila E at the Moore Theatre in May of 2015.
Their mission is to explore the sonic possibilities and push the musical boundaries of cello playing.
