Danish music from the 12th through the 20th centuries on period instruments including violin, douçaines, recorders, bandora, citole, gittern, racketts, sordune, rebec, viol, bass clarinet, flute, fingerhole horn, trombone, and tuba.

Program will include works by Danish masters Truid Aagesen, Mogens Pedersøn, and Carl Nielsen expanding into Danish fiddle tune and national song tradition, and forays into the contemporary world of Danish jazz icon Bent Fabricius-Bjerre.

Dulcina’s Dania Project presents historically informed performance of the Middle Ages through the Renaissance. The ensemble is named for the term used by Johannes Tinctoris for the cylindrical-bore shawm-like instrument, the douçaine.

The Dulcina Ensemble is Aage Nielsen, Gayle Neuman, Laura Kuhlman, and Phil Neuman.

General admission for concert only: $30, $25 museum members. With smörgåsbord: $60, museum members $50.
