New Music for Old Souls is a collaborative concert between Ensemble Audax and Seattle composers Marguerite Brown and Sierra Klingele. Showcasing new works for 18th-century instruments with contemporary composition practices, the evening promises to open your ears to the possibilities of these unique instruments.
Inspired by the natural and cultural independence of the Pacific Northwest, Ensemble Audax presents concerts that give new lenses through which to view history. By performing freely and without apology, we break away from conventions of place and aesthetic.
About Wayward Music Series
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present 10 concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center: contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
