Shostakovich – String Quartet No. 8
Dvořák – String Quartet No. 12 ("American")
Adam Stern – Crossroads

The Serendipity Quartet presents the world premiere of Adam Stern's newest string quartet, Crossroads, which explores the dynamic nature of Seattle. The composer asserts that the piece "is simultaneously an objective musical portrait of Seattle, and a series of subjective impressions of the city's effect on me since I took up residence here in 1992." Unique to this piece are its interchangeable movements. The quartet will call upon the audience to determine the order in which they are played! Rounding out the program are two audience favorites: Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 8 and Dvořák's String Quartet No. 12 ("American").

Admission is FREE! Doors open at 6:00pm.

Partial funding is provided by the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture.
